Funeral services for Mrs. Elizabeth Dukes will be held on Monday, June 5, 2017, at 11 AM at the First Church of God, 90 Harper Avenue, New Haven, Connecticut. Burial will follow at New Evergreen Cemetery.

Born on July 12, 1948 in Dublin Georgia, to Jonnie B. and Pennie Ford. Mrs. Dukes was the sister of ten. She was know to live life to the fullest and would travel from the east coast to the west. She lived in many places California, Virginia, Connecticut, and New Jersey. Because she had such a compassion to care for others she spent her life working as a certified nursing assistant. She was also very passionate about shopping.

Many people knew her as Mother Dukes, she was known to be in the kitchen cooking some great meals especially, her potato salad and collard greens. During her time in San Diego, California. She attended Christ Temple Apostolic Church where she gave her life to Christ and began to live a holy life. She was a devoted mother, grandmother, sister and aunt. She always had a listening ear and would give good godly advice that was always helpful.

Mrs. Dukes was perceived in death by Samuel Dukes (husband), Tyrone Dukes (son) Jonnie & Pennie Ford (parents), James Heath (brother) Marlene Ford (sister), Wylene Ford (sister)

She leaves to mourn (son) Samuel Dukes (Nicole), (son) Robert (Theresa) Dukes, (daughter) Delana Dukes (Kevin) (grand children)Tracey, Andre, Shareese, Kionna, Shakinah, Brenden, Robert, Dajuan, Rockeim, Sameria, Da’Vionna, (great grand) Brandi, Kahtoure, Kaden, Cason, Nylya, Lenox. Randy (Lula) Heath, James Heath, Gwendolyn Billups, Zella (Dexter) Jackson, Marilyn Gardner, John Ford, Carl Ford, Warren (LaVerne) Ford, and a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends.
