Funeral services for Mrs. Earnestine Gainey, of East Dublin, will be held at 2:30 PM on Saturday, November 30, 2019, at the Christian Hope Baptist Church, 1792 Georgia Hwy 26 in Cochran. Reverend Gregory Cutts will deliver the eulogy. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.

Mrs. Earnestine Gainey, affectionately known as “Tina”, was born January 19, 1936, to Joe and Lucille Coombs. She was a faithful member of the Christian Hope Baptist Church until her health declined. On March 7, 1964, she was joined in holy matrimony to Mr. Roosevelt Gainey Sr. "Tina" was a lady of grace who was loved by many. She was the matriarch of the Gainey family. Being the most humblest, meek and mild woman that she were, Tina opened up her home to many and helped raised three generations of grandchildren. Mrs. Gainey passed away on November 25, 2019.

Mrs. Gainey was proceeded in death by her father, Mr. Joe Coombs, her husband, Mr. Roosevelt Gainey Sr, a son, Mr. Ray Gainey, and three brothers; BJ Coombs, Joe Coombs Jr, and Mack Author Coombs.

She leaves to cherish her profound memories her beloved mother, Mrs. Lucille Coombs of Dudley, six children; Kathleen ( Tony ) Carter, Velma Jean Coombs, Roosevelt ( Evelyn ) Gainey Jr., Robert Earl ( Karenita ) Gainey, Virgil ( Brenda ) Gainey, and Roy Lee Gainey all of Dublin, five sisters; Pansy Coombs of Dudley, Lula Mae Orange of New Jersey, Alvilean Coombs of Dublin, Georgia “Bell” Coneway of Dublin, and Susie Pearl Hall of Dudley, one brother, Willie James Coombs of Dudley, one aunt, Mrs. Susie Pearl Wiley of Dublin, 19 grandchildren, 41 great grandchildren, and 4 great-great grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends

The family will receive friends at 115 Pinecone Drive in East Dublin.
