Earnest Haggins

Funeral services for Mr. Earnest Tyrone Haggins, of Riverside, California, will be held on Saturday, February 20, 2016, at 1 pm at the Rice Hill Baptist Church, 2706 Moore Station Road in Dublin. Bishop Otha L. Stanley will officiate. Interment will follow in the Dudley Memorial Cemetery.

Mr. Haggins, who departed this life on Thursday, February 11, 2016, was born on April 18, 1947, to the late Sally H. Rozier. He was preceded in death by his grandmother, Rosie H. Baums; brother, Jerome Hayes; and by his sisters, Jennie Mae Coney and Charade Harrison.

He joined the Rice Hill Baptist Church at an early age and attended frequently with his family until he moved away. He was educated in the Laurens County School System, graduating from the Millville High School Class of 1965.

After graduating Mr. Haggins enlisted in the United States Air Force and married his high school sweetheart, Carolyn Parker. He served faithfully in the United States Air Force for twenty-six years. After retirement, he was the supervisor of materials management for the operating room at Fountain Valley Regional Hospital, Fountain Valley, California.

Mr. Haggins leaves to cherish his memories two devoted and loving children, Stephanie H. Boone of Warner Robins and Stevie Haggins of Riverside, California, the mother of his children, Carolyn Parker Haggins of Hawkinsville, granddaughter, Alexis Boone, Warner Robins; sisters, Ruthia (Herman) Blash, Miami, Florida, Willie Mae (Rev. Joe) Taylor and Geneva Salter both of Dublin, brother, Michael Rozier, Miami, Florida; brother-in-law, Cletis Harrison, Miami, Florida, stepfather, Norman Rozier, Detroit, Michigan, stepsisters, Norma Jean Rozier, Detroit, Michigan, Brenda Francois, Miami, Florida; stepbrother, Ricky Rozier, Miami, Florida; aunt, Pauline Reid, Jonesboro, great aunt, Mary Anderson, Dublin and many nieces, nephews other relatives and friends.

The family will receive friends at the church on Saturday during the hour preceding the service.
