Earl Rapp

Earl Henry Rapp was born in San Angelo, Texas, on March 25, 1940. He went to his heavenly home on May 23, 2015 in Menard, Texas, after a long battle with cancer. He was baptized and confirmed in The Lutheran Church Missouri Synod.

Earl was preceded in death by his parents, Henry and Maydell Rapp; his daughter, Donna Sue Eddins; three brothers, Elvin Glen Rapp, Charles Ray Rapp and James L. Rapp. He is survived by four grandchildren: Kristina, Josh, Kristopher, Krystal; six great grandchildren; one sister, Mrs. Dorothy Barnett; one niece, Caren Hoelscher; and the children’s grandmother, Janie Crabtree.

Mr. Rapp was a man of many talents – he was a welder, drilled water wells for Magill Water Service, and drilled oil wells for companies of which one was Patterson Drilling. He also worked in a Consulting Business. When he was younger, he helped break horses and worked cattle with his sister, Dorothy.

Earl Rapp’s Graveside Service will be at The Eden Cemetery on Saturday, June 13th at 10:00 am. Presiding at the service are Pastor Darrell Howanitz and Pastor Steve Belote. Memorials to help with final expenses can be made to Janie Crabtree, P.O. Box 1395, Eden, Texas 76837.
