Funeral services for Mrs. Dorothy Tucker, of Sandersville, Georgia,will be held on Saturday, September 16, 2017, at 1 PM in the C. D. Dudley Memorial Chapel at the Dudley Funeral Home. Bishop Karey Rivers will deliver the eulogy. The interment will follow in the Dudley Memorial Cemetery.

Mrs. Tucker, was born on December 11, 1951, to the late Mr. John and Rosa Mills Truitt. She departed this life on September 9, 2017. She preceded in death by Mary Ann Truitt, Doretha McKnight and Virgina Truitt. Her brothers Albert Truitt Robert (Nina) Truitt, Marvin Truitt, Willie Truitt, John Lee Truitt Jr.

She was a member of New Hope Missionary Baptist Church. She was a retired employee of Biljo Pants Factory. She was the wife of the late William R. Whitfield & Bennie Lee Tucker.

Mrs. Tucker leaves to mourn her passing a daughter, Makiechen (Larry) Holliman, two grandchildren, La’Vonta Holliman and Kamryn Holliman, a mother- in law, Lula Mae Tucker, nine sisters-in-law, Patricia (Eddie) Whitfield, Evelyn Whitfield, Maggie Whitfield, Lovie Whitfield all of Dublin, Mary Wilcher of Decatur, Shirley Cheeley of Warrenton, Sallie (Thomas) Cheeley of Loganville, Gloria (Nathaniel Wiley) and Janice Dawson of Covington, one brother-in-law, Willie Frank(Christine) Tucker of Hephizbeth and a host of other relatives and friends.

The family is receiving friends at 675 Walke Dairy Road Lot 4 in Dublin, Georgia.
