Funeral services for Miss Doris “Ellen” Williams, 76, of Dublin, will be held on Saturday, August 23, 2014, at 2:00 PM at C.D. Dudley Memorial Chapel at the Dudley Funeral Home. Reverend Earl Hicks will officiate. Burial will follow in the Dudley Memorial Cemetery.

Miss Williams departed this life on Sunday, August 17, 2014. She was born on August 24, 1937, to the late Mr. Isaac Williams, Sr. and the late Mrs. Easter Coleman Williams. She was one of 16 children born to this union, all of which preceded her in death.

Early in adulthood, she moved to Fort Wayne, Indiana. She was an arid baker and often shared her recipes with family members. She fellowshipped at the Pilgrim Baptist Church in Fort Wayne, Indiana. In 2007, she returned to Dublin in the care of her devoted niece, Mrs. Annie Ruth Carter. At the time of her demise, she resided at Shamrock Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.

She leaves to cherish her memories: sister-in-laws, Mrs. Martha P. Williams of East Dublin, Mrs. Marian Lucille Williams and Mrs. Lessie Williams both of Miami, Florida; a host of nieces, nephews, and other relatives; a devoted caregiver niece, Mrs. Annie Ruth Carter; a devoted great-nephew, Mr. Chase Williams of Rochester Hills, Michigan; and a supportive niece, Mrs. Wanda Williams Wilcher of Dublin.

The family will be receiving friends at the home of her niece, Mrs. Annie Carter, 910 Martin Luther King Drive, Dublin.
