Obituary Notice Don Cureton YORK -- Donald "Don" Clay Cureton, 89, of 301 Lincoln Road died Tuesday, February 19, 2013, at his home in York. A memorial service will be at 2:00 P.M. on Saturday, February 23, 2013 at Bratton Funeral Home with Rev. Thomas B McPhail officiating. The family will receive friends on Saturday, February 23, 2013, from 1 - 2 PM at Bratton Funeral Home. Don was a son of the late Wilbur and Thelma Igleheart Cureton. In 1942 he enlisted in the US Army Signal Corps, serving in the South Pacific during WWII. Don was retired from the Evansville Printing Corp. (now Evansville Courier Company) in 1986 after 38 1/2 years of service. He is survived by wife Clara Jones Cureton of York, SC, son Kenneth W. and Charlotte Bernhard Cureton of Olympia, WA, daughter, Barbara Cureton Roby and Randy Hope of York, SC, grandchildren, Catherine M Roby and Jeff Baldridge of Hickory Grove, SC, Erin Cureton of Olympia, WA, Trevor Cureton of Olympia, WA, two great grandchildren, and one niece and one nephew. Don was preceded in death by daughter Carol Jean Cureton and sister Madeline Cureton Carpenter Couch. Memorials may be made to Agape Hospice, 817 E Liberty Street, York, SC 29745.
