Donald Buyak

Don Buyak, age 65, was born December 31, 1947 to Caroline and Mitchell Buyak. He passed away on February 22, 2013. Don graduated from Redlands High School in 1966 and was drafted into the Army in 1968. He served with the 82nd Airborne at Fort Bragg, NC as a helicopter paratrooper. On January 4, 1969 Don married his high school sweetheart, Linda Dughman, at Sacred Heart Church in Redlands. Don worked as a Projects Supervisor for the U.S. Forest Service, where he was employed for 47 years. Throughout his career Don worked for Cal Trans, San Bernardino County Fire and for the Forest Service as a Fire Captain, Patrolman and a Law Enforcement Officer. He was currently a member of the American Legion and the Moose Lodge. He will be forever missed by his wife of 44 years, Linda; his daughters: Pam Martin, Paula Rawls, Becky Buyak and Mandy Betts. He had 5 wonderful grandchildren: Autumn Rawls, Breanna and Colby Martin, and Nathan and Brooke Betts. He is also survived by his siblings: Herb Buyak and Ginny Wisdom. A memorial service will be held 11:00 AM Saturday, March 2, 2013 at Wildwood Calvary Chapel; 35145 Oak Glen Rd., Yucaipa. A celebration of life will be held after the memorial at the Mentone Moose Lodge. In Lieu of flowers the family requests memorial contributions be made to the Don Buyak Memorial Fund c/o the Buyak Family 1314 Sapphire Ave. Mentone, CA 92359
