Funeral services for Mr. Dexter Lamar Martin, 39 will be held on Friday, January 27, 2012 at 1PM at the First Seventh Day Adventist Church, 605 South Decatur Street, Dublin. Interment will follow in the Brazeal Chapel Garden of Rest Cemetery. Mr. Martin, who passed on January 18, 2012, was born July 20, 1972, in Columbus, Georgia, to the late Roosevelt Martin, Sr. and Clara Sumbry Martin. He graduated from Hardaway High School of Columbus. Mr. Martin was a truck driver for Hogan Dedicated Services and a member of Tri-County Saddle Club. He served as Deacon and Pathfinder at First Seventh Day Adventist Church of Dublin. Mr. Martin was preceded in death by a sister, Vevelyn Lurice Martin. He leaves to cherish his loving wife of sixteen years, Yalonda Shalae Martin, two beautiful daughters, Emmanuella LaSha (Manny) Martin, Anastasia Juzel (Eve) Martin, godson, Dewayne Porter of Columbus, three sisters, Debra (Eddie) West of Columbus, Gwendolyn (Chris) Carter of West Virginia, Charlene (Tracy) Neal of Alaska, father-in-law, Elder Grady (Fannie) Brazeal of Dublin, mother-in-law, Marilyn Brazeal of Soperton, two brothers-in-law, Flay Brazeal, Alton (Chekesha) Brazeal of Virginia, two sisters-in-law, Brenda Patterson, Debra Bell, five aunts, Margaret Sumbry of Phoenix City, AL, Julia (James) Echols, Phoenix City, AL, Virginia Scruggs, Phoenix City, AL, Annie (Henry) Franklin, Columbus, Elizabeth (Novell) Steward of Brooklyn, NY, one uncle, Pastor Jessie (Patricia) Sumbry of Brooklyn, NY, and a host of other relatives and friends.
