Funeral services for Minister David Brantley, of Wrightsville, Georgia, will be held on Wednesday, April 15, 2020, at 11 AM at the graveside in the cemetery of the Brantley Chapel Church of God in Christ, 232 Woods Road in Wrightsville. Reverend Benny Brantley will deliver the eulogy.

Minister David Brantley was born on June 15, 1956, in Wrightsville, to Mrs. Lula and the late Reverend Lewis Brantley. He accepted Jesus Christ at an early age, and joined the Brantley Chapel Church of God in Christ. He received his calling to become a minister at the Brantley Chapel Church of God in Christ under the leadership of Bishop T. L. Snell, Sr. He graduated from Johnson County High School in 1974, and was employed by Forstmann Incorporated for twenty years. David devoted his time and energy to reading and studying his bible, and enjoyed working in his garden, listening to gospel music, and playing his guitar. He departed this life on Good Friday, April 10, 2020. He was also preceded in death by his father, Reverend Lewis Brantley, and by his brother, Herbert Brantley.

Minister Brantley leaves to cherish his memory his beloved mother, Mrs. Lula Brantley, two loving daughters, Shawn Terese Martin and Shiloah Brantley, (whose mother is Vernell Brantley Pittman, and stepfather, Reverend James Pittman) one son-in-law, Darick Martin, three grandchildren, Brianna, Jaythan, and Sholanda, eight siblings, John Brantley ( Yavonne), Ernestine LIlley (Clarence), Geri Sebastian (Vincent), Pastor Benny Brantley (Marie), Warren Brantley (Gwen), Anthony Brantley (Shirley), Wyman Brantley (Tricia), and Carolyn Davis (Keith), a devoted aunt, Johnnie Hicks Young (Carl Young, Sr.) of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, as well as other loving aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
