Danny Potter
October 4, 1957-September 20, 2011. Born in Crescent City California to Don & Irene Potter. Dan and his family moved to Cashmere in 1972 where he graduated from Wenatchee High School in 1976. He worked as a Hydro Mechanic for Chelan County PUD for 8 years before starting up Vita Green Lawn Care in the spring of 1986 and retired from vita Green in late 2005. Some of his accomplishments that can still be seen today are Beebe Bridge, Newberry School, Roslyn School and the Gorge Amphitheater, but most importantly he served thousands of individuals in this community where he went way above & beyond. Dan was a positive influence on many people with his entrepreneurial spirit and hard work ethic, he was well known for his integrity, honesty, love & tenderness. He loved and cherished his family and being with his grandchildren brought him some of his greatest joy. He had a love for restoring and driving classic muscle cars including his Cuda, El Camino and Challenger. He enjoyed the many opportunities he had to race anything with tires & a motor. He loved to be in his shop working on his current project ranging from putting a car back together to fixing a toy for one of his grandbabies. Dan also had a love for knowledge & learning in all things. He specialized in doctoring their owies and always had their perfect treat. He will be deeply missed. For 10 years Dan suffered from chronic back pain. He is survived by his wife, Debbie Potter, children, Josh, Jinni, Jared, Jordan and Jaycee, his mother, Irene and siblings, Sheree, Kenneth, Penny, Cynthia, Eric and Tammi, grandchildren, Kaden, Kira, Aubrey, Logan, Ashlynn, Brynlee, Breyson, Maizy, Carson and Brody. He is preceded in death by his father, Don. A Funeral Service will be held in his honor, Saturday, September 24th, 2011 at 11:00am with a family greeting starting at 10:00am, at the LDS Maiden Lane Chapel, 1621 Maiden Lane in Wenatchee. Graveside Services will follow at the Cashmere Cemetery. Arrangements have been entrusted to Heritage Memorial Chapel, East Wenatchee.
