Danny Edween

Danny Edween, of Minnesota, was born on October 13, 1932 to Vicente and Clara Calaycay in Lallo Cagayan, Philippines. He passed away on July 9, 2013 at Loma Linda University Medical Center in Loma Linda, California.

Danny served his country in the United States Air Force and made an amazing career of it. After 26 years, he retired as a Master Sergeant with the following awards:
Small Arms Expert Markmanship Ribbon, Good Conduct Medal Army, Air Force Longevity Service Ribbon with 1 Silver Oak Leaf Cluster, National Defense Service Medal Vietnam Service Medal with 2 Service STars, Air Force Outstanding Unit Award With 3 Oak Leaf Clusters, Republic of Vietnam Campaignmedal, Air Force Good Conduct Medal with 1 Silver Oak Leaf Cluster, Air Force Commendation Medal With 2 Oak Leaf Clusters, Professional Military Education Ribbon, Overseas Long Tour Ribbon, Air Force Outstanding Unit. After Danny retired from the Air Forcce, he remained in Germany and devoted the next 20 years of his life to mission work in Poland, Ukraine, Romania and Hungary.

Danny will be forever missed by his wife of over 50 years, Connie; his children: Phidelyn Mae Edween Dobson, Susan Claire Edween Dibiase and Julie Ann Edween Cronenweth, as well as his grandchildren and son-in-law's. He was predeceased by his parents and his siblings: Mariano Quiddaoen, Emelia Palmes and Fernando Quiddaoen.

Funeral Services will be held at Azure Hills Seventh Day Adventist Church in Grand Terrace on Thursday August 1st, beginning at 10:00 AM for Visitation and 11:00 AM for Funeral. There will be a graveside service held at Riverside National Cemetery with Military Honors the same day at 2:15 PM.

Although your attendance is the family's greatest gift, in lieu of flowers the family would welcome donations made to the widow to help cover funeral costs.
