Funeral services for Mr. Curtis Morris Rozier, of Dublin, will be held on Tuesday, June 27, 2017, at 11 AM at the Greater New Friendship Baptist Church, 3265 Georgia Highway 19 South in Dublin. Reverend Daryl Moore will deliver the eulogy. Interment will follow in the Mount McRae Church Cemetery.

Mr. Rozier was born on March 20, 1939, to the late Matthew and Luvenia Snell Rozier. At an early age, he joined the Mount McRae Baptist Church where he served as a deacon. He was one of several deacons who were instrumental in combining the Pearly Chapel and Mount McRae churches into the Greater New Friendship Baptist Church in 1999. He attended faithfully and served as a deacon and as chairman deacon. He was also a life member of several Masonic organizations including Hatoff Lodge #409, Tri-County Royal Arch Chapter #8, Elbert D. Blocker Consistory # 368, and Masab Temple #11.

He was married to the late Myrtis Davis Rozier for 40 years. He received his education at the Mary Fleming High School. He was employed with Perry Construction for over 40 years where he was known as "the world's best backhoe operator". After retiring from Perry Construction, he operated his own backhoe company until his death. On Friday, June 23, 2017, he departed this life to join, in death, his loved ones including his wife, Myrtis Rozier, his sisters, Elouise Wilcher, and Alnita Anderson, and his brothers, Willie, Charles, and Melvin Rozier.

He leaves to cherish his memories five sons, Reginald (Geneva) Rozier, Derrick Rozier, Rodney (Tamika) Rozier, Jeremy (Regina) Rozier, and Preston (Gloria) Anderson; brothers, Richard (Catherine) Rozier, and John Rozier; sisters, Ruby Johnson, and Ina Rozier Cooper; sisters-in-law, Shirley (Robert) Perry, Nina Rozier, Ellean Wright, Johnnie Mae Godbold, Daphene (Norman) Harris, Ruby Holloway, and Doris Howell; brothers-in-law, Ulysses (Jean) Davis, Will (Patricia) Davis, and Johnny Roy Anderson; ten grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; two godchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, and dear friends.

The family will receive friends at 1015 Friar Tuck Court in Dublin, and on Monday evening, 6-7 PM, at the Dudley Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers, please make memorial donations to the Greater New Friendship Church Building Fund, 3265 Ga Hwy 19 S, Dublin, Georgia 31021.
