Corine Butler

Funeral services for Mrs. Corine Wesley Butler, 79, of Dublin, Georgia, will be held at 1 PM on Monday, November 18, 2019, at the Stewart Chapel Baptist Church, 2659 Stewart Chapel Road in Rentz. Bishop Harrison Jones, Sr., will deliver the eulogy. Interment will follow in church cemetery.

Born as Corine Wesley on March 15, 1940, in Plainfield, Georgia, she was the daughter of the late Mattie Session and Sammy Wesley. She departed this life on Monday, November 11, 2019, at Navicent Hospital in Macon, Georgia.

Mrs. Butler was united in holy matrimony to the late Malcolm "Map” Butler. She joined Mount Calvary Baptist Church in her early years. She was educated at the Mary Grove School. She worked at Uniroyal Factory and in housekeeping. Mrs. Butler enjoyed being around her grandchildren, and cooking, and walking.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Malcom Butler, son, Sammy Wesley, and by three sisters, Clara K. Chappell, Lissie Hall and Bretha Thomas.

Mrs. Butler leaves to cherish her precious memories, a devoted friend, Curtis Harris, two daughters Bobby Jean Butler of Dublin, Georgia and Dianne (Curtis) Grimes of East Dublin, Georgia, three sons, Danny Butler of Decatur, Georgia, Robert Butler, and Steve (Ann) Butler of Dublin Georgia, twelve grandchildren, thirteen great-grandchildren and a host of cousins, nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
