Constance Simmons

Funeral services for Mrs. Constance Worthen Simmons, of Newark, New Jersey, will be held at 11 AM on Saturday, September 17, 2016, at the Greater New Friendship Baptist Church, 3265 Highway 19 South in Dublin. Reverend Winfred McCloud will officiate. Interment will follow in the Mount McRae Cemetery.

Mrs. Simmons, who passed on September 11, 2016, was born April 11, 1932, to the late Willie and Ilene Worthen.
She married the late Aaron Wright, Sr., and to this union five children were born. She later married, Samuel Simmons of Newark, New Jersey who preceded her in death. Mrs. Simmons was also preceded in death by a son, Aaron "Junior" Wright; sisters, Ina Maude Madison, Mauzie Chatfield, Louise Robinson; brother, Joe Madison and a niece, Rosa Mae Walker.

She is survived by a daughter, Jacquelyn Boone, Newark, New Jersey; four sons, Lucian (Linda) Wright, Gerald Wright, Dublin, Celeo Wright, Fort Worth Texas, Caster D. Worthen, Kaiserslautern, Germany. She is also survived by her loving and devoted nieces, Betty Adams and Lorraine Stuckey, both of Newark, New Jersey, Gerolene Moye, Brooklyn, New York, Doris Davis, Dublin, eleven grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends.

The family will receive friends at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Lucian Wright, 948 Pinehill Road in Dublin and at the home of Ms. Doris Davis, 953 St. Mark Church Road in Dublin.
