Cleonis Hill

Funeral services for Mrs. Cleonis Hill, of Wrightsville, will be held on Saturday, August 22, 2015, at 12 PM at the Neeler Chapel African Methodist Church, 415 South Valley Street in Wrightsville. Reverend Jerry Walden will officiate.

Mrs. Hill, who passed on August 20, 2015, was born on May 19, 1927, in Johnson County, to the late Mr. J. P. Pierce and the late Ms. Flora Jackson. Mrs. Hill was preceded in death by a sister, Beatrice Pierce, and by a brother, Grady Pierce.

She attended school in rural Washington County and attended the Sand Hill Missionary Baptist Church.

Mrs. Hill worked at Apparel Brands pants factory for many years. She loved fishing and coaching girls and boys softball teams.

Mrs. Hill is survived by three sons, Bennie Hill and Kenny Hill, of Milledgeville, Eddie Dean Hill of Lake City, Florida; two granddaughters, Nisheka Brint and Mesheima Brint of Wrightsville; three grandsons, Dayrion Brint, Micheal Walker and Cardrick King of Wrightsville; niece, Alice (Henry) Williams of Miami, Florida; three very devoted cousins, Barbara (Alvin) Darrisaw, Bobby (Jacqueline) Elbert and Claudine (Matthew) Fann of Wrightsville, and a host of other relatives and friends.

The family will receive friends at the home of her cousin, Barbara (Alvin) Darrisaw, 1597 Goins Road in Wrightsville.
