Clayton Burnett Ricks was born August 1, 1961 in Clarksville, Texas to Eddie & Mary Ricks. He united with the Pleasant Hill Baptist Church at an early age. He graduated from Clarksville High School in 1979.

Clayton was employed by Campbell Soup of Paris, Texas

He married Patricia Jones Ricks and to this union was three loving children.
