Claude Youngblood YORK Claude McKinzie Youngblood, 83, of York, went home to be with the Lord on Friday, November 9, 2012. The funeral will be at 3 PM on Monday, November 12, 2012 at Beth Shiloh Presbyterian Church with the Rev. Neill McKay officiating. Burial will be at Beth Shiloh Presbyterian Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Sunday, November 11, 2012 at Bratton Funeral Home from 6 to 8 pm, and other times at the home of daughter Elizabeth and Wendell Sowell, 6420 Royal Pines Dr, Clover, SC. A native of York, Claude was a son of the late William McKinzie Youngblood and Lila Chambers Youngblood. He was preceded in death by his wife of 61 years, Lucille Merck Youngblood. He was a member of Beth Shiloh Presbyterian Church, and worked for Dunlap Johnson Chevrolet in York for over 50 years. He is survived by five children, Vickie Cornmesser and husband David of Gaffney, SC, Elizabeth Sowell and husband Wendell of Clover, SC, Eddie Youngblood and wife Diana of York, SC, Brenda Earl and husband Larry of Hickory Grove, SC, Paige Bishop and husband Billy of York, SC, 12 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren, and a number of nieces and nephews.
