Funeral service for Mr. Christopher Lee Wooten of Tyler, Texas, formerly of Clarksville, TX who went to be with his Lord July 29, 2022 in Acute Long Term Care at UT Health Center, Tyler TX will be Saturday, August 6, 2022 @ 1:00 pm at J.N. Ervin Religion and Culture CenterSmith-Howard Chapel
Jarvis Christian University U.S. Hwy 80 East, PR 7631, Hawkins, TX 75765 with Pastor Lawrence Brown, eulogist. Repass will be at Ida Van Zandt Jarvis Student Center Cafeteria, Jarvis Christian University.

Also Sunday, August 7, 2022 @ 2:00 p.m. service will be at Citizens Funeral Home Chapel, 500 E. Church Street, Clarksville, TX with Pastor L.E. Cole officiating and Rev. Jalen Williams, eulogist.

Christopher Lee Wooten was born January 23, 1964 to Splawn Wooten and Virgie Nita Adams Wooten in Clarksville, Texas.

He graduated from Avery High School and attend Texas College, Tyler Texas, where he received his Bachelor of Science.
He was employed by Jarvis Christian University for many years.

Chris united with Martin Shiloh Baptist Church of Clarksville, TX at any early age. He was currently a member of New Jerusalem Baptist Church, Tyler.

He was famed for his catering and creativity with foods, elaborate floral arrangements and charismatic personality.

He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers-Robert Wooten, Willard Wooten, Roy Wooten, Leon Wooten, Doyle Wooten, David Wooten and Frank Wooten.

He will truly be missed by:
Sisters: Verna Wooten and Mae Wooten Scales of Clarksville, TX
Brothers: Leo Wooten of Clarksville, TX and Mack Wooten of Tyler, TX
A host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
