Funeral services for Ms. Christine “Bob” Carswell, of Dublin, will be held at 12 PM on Monday, January 12, 2019, at the Howard Chapel United Methodist Church, 508 South Washington Street in Dublin. Minister Debra Newkirk will deliver the eulogy. Interment will follow in the Macedonia Baptist Church Cemetery.

Ms. Carswell was the daughter of the late Willie "Will" Carswell and the late Cora "Doll" Carswell on November 16, 1946. She was educated in the Laurens County Schools. Christine lived in Miami, Florida for many years. She was affiliated with Koinonia Worship Center in Hollywood, Florida, under Eric Jones. She retired from UAIC Insurance Company in Miami, Florida, where she worked for 20 years. She later returned to Dublin, and passed away on January 9, 2019. She was preceded in death by her aforementioned parents, four brothers, Willie Carswell, Jr., James Knight, Wilbert Carswell and Robert Carswell, and by two nieces, Brenda Carswell Corbett and Debra Boyer. She loved and cherished her family, she loved gardening and doing word search puzzles.

She is survived by her sisters, Susie Mae Tucker of Dublin, Clara Boyer of Adamstown, Maryland, Ivey Jean Bledsoe of Macon, Carrie Bell of Dublin, Catherine Davis of Dublin, and Judy (Qamie) Graves of Hallandale, Florida, brothers, Lonnie Charles "LC" Carswell (Brenda) of Dublin, Albert Carswell of Miami, Florida, Johnny Charles "JC" Carswell of Lorain, Ohio and Carl "Bubba" Carswell of Dublin, dearest sister and friend, Wanda (AL) Parker of Rentz. Special nephews that she raised Thalmus Boyer of Miami, Florida; Jamie (Shatise) Carr of Jacksonville, Florida and Jerome Thompkins of Florida. She also leaves behind a host of other nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives and friends.
