Charlie Wright

Funeral services for Mr. Charlie Wright, of Dublin, will be held on Friday, January 5, 2018, at 1 PM at the Rice Hill Baptist Church, 2706 Moore Station Road in Dublin. Reverend Abraham Crockett will deliver the eulogy. Interment will follow in the Dudley Memorial Cemetery.

Mr. Charlie Wright was born on December 13, 1943, in Laurens County, Georgia, to the late Mr. John and Mrs. Ellen Wright. He was employed with Southern Peanut House for twenty-two years, and with the City of Dublin, as a mechanic, where he retired after ten years of faithful service. In his leisure time, he enjoyed fishing, playing the guitar, and spending time with family and friends. He was preceded in death by two sisters, Annie B. Ford and Johnnie Mae Coleman, and by two brothers, Johnny Lee Wright and Carlton Wright. Mr. Wright passed away on December 26, 2017.

Mr. Charlie Wright is survived by his wife, Maggie Wright of Dublin, his children, Anthony (Tashika) Wright, and Charline Wright of Dublin, goddaughter, Mattie Salter of East Dublin, a sister, Bobbie J. Wright of Baltimore, Maryland, a special aunt, Mary Anderson of Dublin, and a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and devoted friends.

The family is receiving friends at 514 Smith Street, and at the Dudley Funeral Home, on Thursday, January 4, 2018, 6-7 PM.
