Funeral services for Mr. Charlie James Cummings, of Dublin, Georgia, will be held on Tuesday, July 14, 2020, at 11 AM at the graveside in the Northview Cemetery, 1225 North Franklin Street in Dublin. Minister Carnell Carr will deliver the eulogy.

Mr. Cummings was born on October 11, 1958, to the late Mr. Carol Cummings and the late Mrs. Lonia Mae Harris in Blackshear, Georgia.

He attended Patterson High School in Pierce County Georgia, where his favorite sport was football. He served in the United States Marine Corp. His passion was for his profession as a professional truck driver for over 40 years. He departed this life on Friday, July 10, 2020.

Mr. Cummings was preceded in death by his sisters, Gurnie Washington, Pearline Mae Palmer; and by his brothers, Ronnie Cummings and Samuel Cummings.

He leaves to cherish memories his devoted wife, Myrtice Brown-Cummings; children, Charlie (LaCarol) Cummings of Douglas, Beth Cummings of Cleveland, Ohio, and Westley K. Cummings of Mississippi; step-children, Letitia Brown of Atlanta, Amelia Brown of Norfolk, Virginia, and Nastassja Brown of Dublin; eighteen grandchildren; twon great-grandchildren; sisters, Alice (Charlie, Jr.) White of Hoboken, Mildred Jenkins of Alma, Catherine (Cleveland) Hollis of Waycross; brothers, Norris L. (Geraldine) Johnson Jr. of Savannah, and Jerry Cummings of Germany; sisters-in-law, Hattie Mae Thomas, Shirley O'Neal, and Cora Carr; brother-in-law, Harry Carr, all of Dublin; Margie Fullwood and Geneva Blash, both of Miami, Florida, Eva Dean (Frank) Polite of Midway, and Minister Carnell (Gayle) Carr of Griffin, and a host of nieces, nephews, favorite " Uncle J," and other relatives and friends.

Viewing will be on Monday, July 13, 6:00-8:00 PM at the Dudley Funeral Home.
