Graveside service was Friday, July 9, 2021@ 11:00 am at William Cemetery, Clarksville, TX for Mr. Charles Kenneth Stillwell who went to be with his Lord July 4, 2021 at Methodist Dallas Medical Center, Dallas, TX.

Because the family could not make it to the hospital, Charles Kenneth Stilwell was born at home in Cherry, delivered by family friend Momma Blanche on February 12, 1954. He lived between Clarksville and Dallas, but since July 4, 2021, he dwells in the undiscovered country.

Well known by his friends as a student of the Bible, he was a carpenter, a mechanic, a bus driver, and a security guard. After retirement from the City of Dallas, he volunteered with Golden Gate Baptist Church’s drug ministry as an informal counselor, helping addicts and alcoholics through recovery. His Bible was always open to Psalm 23.

Charles Kenneth, as we call him, was preceded in death by his mother, Clara Belle Stilwell; his father, James Stillwell; his brothers, Donald Stilwell and William Murray. Charles Kenneth is survived by his son, Charles Pearson Stilwell (Dallas); sisters Yolonda Stillwell-Williams (Mesquite); and Brenda Stillwell (Tucson) & brother, James Calvin Everett (unknown).

Walt Disney once said that all your dreams can come true if you have the courage to pursue them. Charles led a life full of dreams. No matter how ill, how broke, or how discouraged, he always hoped. Each person who came in contact with Charles Kenneth will say, “He always wanted to be home”. You are home now with the Lord.
