Charles Collins

Funeral services for Mr. Charles Collins, of Dublin, Georgia, will be held on Saturday, July 29, 2017, at 2 PM at the Roy Mizell & Kurtz Worship Center, 1228 Northwest 6th Court, Fort Lauderdale, Florida. Reverend Almeter Ace will officiate. Interment will follow in the Lauderdale Memorial Park, 2001 Southwest 4th Avenue, Fort Lauderdale, Florida.

Mr. Collins, who passed on July 21, 2017, was born on September 26, 1935, to the late Johnnie and Nelvinie Collins. He accepted Christ at an early age and joined the Mount Olive Baptist Church, and was a member of the church choir along with his mother. He was also preceded in death by two sisters, Clara Bowles, and Margarette Williams.

His fond memories will be forever cherished by his wife, Jane W. Collins of Dublin, a brother, Doctor R. D. (Jene) Collins of Chicago, Illinois, brother-in-law, Andrew Williams of Fort Lauderdale, Florida, sisters-in-law, Pearlina Robinson of Detroit, Michigan, Melva Sims of New York, and Cathy Brackins of Chicago, Illinois, god children, Suzi and Bob Plati, Walter Clay King, and Linda and Eddie Appleby , all of Fort Lauderdale, Florida, Ollie and Bryant Smith of Dublin, and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.

The family is receiving friends at 1163 John Lowery Road in Dublin.
