Obituary Notice Charlene Black CARY -- Charlene Reid Black, 83, of Cary passed away Friday, March 15, 2013, at her home in Cary. A graveside service will be at 2:00 P.M. on Sunday, March 17, 2013 at Rose Hill Cemetery with the Rev. Ed Jillson officiating. The family will receive friends following the service at the cemetery. Charlene was a daughter of the late George and Emma Baines Reid. She was a member of First Presbyterian Church in Raleigh, NC, was a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution, and a volunteer worker for the Christian Community in Action for 37 years. Mrs. Black is survived by husband James Arthur Black of Cary, NC, daughters, Margaret Gail Scoggin of Rockwell, TX, Evelyn Black Wilson and husband David of Columbia, SC, sister, Carolyn R. Elrod of Dayton, OH, and grandchildren, Reid Scoggin and Karl Scoggin. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Black was preceded in death by her sister Betty R. Bradfield.
