Funeral services for Miss Chanell Pittman, of Dublin, will be held on Wednesday, January 15, at 3 PM at the Saint Luke Baptist Church, 620 Main Street in Dexter, Georgia. Pastor Jamie Pittman will deliver the eulogy. Interment will follow in the Saint Luke Baptist Church Cemetery.

Miss Chanell Pittman, who departed this life on January 10, 2014, was born on December 24, 1963, in Dublin to the late Herman Pittman and Mary Charleston.

Miss Pittman gave her life to Christ at an early age at Sylvester Baptist
Church. She, as a teenager, was both an athlete and a scholar at
Fulton High School in Atlanta, Georgia, and later became a homemaker.

She was preceded in death by her father, Herman Pittman, her grandmother, Leila Watts Pittman Turner, and sisters, Carolyn McKinnon, Wanda Pittman-Turkvant, and Maryland Pittman.

She leaves behind her mother, Mary Charleston; her devoted partner of 26 years, Cleveland Kinsey; her three children, Deondre (Lotoya) Pittman, Nicole Pittman, and Juwon Kinsey; four grandchildren; a sister, Evon (Charles) Walker; four brothers, Freddie Lee McKinnon, Jr. III, Michael (Charika) Todd, Herman Pittman, Jr., Jerome Pittman; and a host of nieces and nephews.

The family is receiving friends at 326A Wabash Street in Dublin.
