Funeral services for Mrs. Celia Mae Hightower Graham, of Dublin, will be held at 3 PM on Sunday, July 8, 2018, at the Saint Paul AME Church, 308 Rowe Street, Dublin. Reverend Linda Gattis will deliver the eulogy. Interment will follow in the Dudley Memorial Cemetery.

Sister Graham was born on January 12, 1926, in Laurens County, Georgia, to the late Claude and Maude Hightower. She attended school in Lovett Quarters in Dublin, and for technical design in Miami, Florida. Her Christian life started early at Mount Pullen AME Church in Dublin and continued at Mount Calvary Baptist Church in Miami, Florida. She has been a faithful member of Saint Paul AME Church in Dublin since 1952 serving in many roles including Usher Board, Stewardess, Missionary, Women’s Day Chair, Trustee Board, Secretary of Lay Organization, Christian Women’s Bible Study Group, and Womens JOY Club. She was also a member of The Emerald Business and Professional Women's Club of Dublin where she was vice-president and treasurer, and a member of the City Wide Mission Treasures, the Eastern District Women’s Missionary Society, and Seniors Are Living Treasures (SALT). She also served as a senior Pink Lady at Fairview Park Hospital. She passed away on July 3, 2018. She was preceded in death by her parents, her brothers, Claude, Johnny, Jimmie, Hubert, and Bobbie Hightower, and by her sisters, Annie Liza Rozier, Eloise Pauldo, Lizzie Mae Hall, and Minnie Hagins.

Sister Graham is survived by her loving children, Aquilla H. Canady, Jacksonville, Florida, and Maurice Jordan Hightower, Dublin, grandchildren, Mickaela Hightower, Virginia Beach, Virginia, Emily Fulton, Jacksonville, Florida, Brltne Walker, Dublin, Keaton, Zion, and Asya Hightower, Richmond Hills, Zoey Hightower, Dublin, Charlie Ann, Dublin, great-grandchildren, Mikel McKinney, Virginia Beach, Virginia, Dani Bostic, Jacksonville, Florida, Khloe O’Neal, Kade Walker, Karli Ferguson, Dublin, brother, J. C. Hightower, sisters-in-law, Lila Hightower and Eleanor Hightower, Dublin, extended family including sons, Richard (Brenda) Pauldo, Dublin, Johnny Hughes, Brooklyn, New York, Richard (Doris) Hughes, Dublin, Emmett (Janet) Hughes, Augusta, Johnny Hightower, Dublin, and a host of nieces, nephews, Saint Paul family, and many other friends.

The family is receiving friends at 312 Rowe Street in Dublin.
