Funeral services for Mr. Carl Jerome Pinkney, a resident of Dublin, Georgia, and a retired United States Air Force Veteran, will be held at 2 PM on Thursday, January 9, 2020, in the C. D. Dudley Memorial Chapel at the Dudley Funeral Home. Reverend Kenneth Kates will deliver the eulogy.

Mr. Pinkney was born on August 15, 1959, in Sumpter, South Carolina, as the son of Millie Pinkney and the late Murray Pinkney of Greenville, South Carolina. He attended various churches and had a love for playing the saxophone. Mr. Pinkney departed this life on January 2, 2020.

He was preceded in death by his loving brothers, Willie Pinkney and Earle Pinkney, and by his uncle, William “Bill” Pinkney.

He is survived by his wife, Latondra Pinkney, a daughter, Tausha (James) Bradley of Murfreesboro, Tennessee, two sons, Carlton Pinkney of Greenville, South Carolina, and Lavonte Gilsson of Sumpter, South Carolina, four stepchildren, Cortney Sailem, Tiffany Salem, Jordy (Shequita) Sailem, and Brittani Sailem, all of Dublin, one sister, Helen (Edward) Nixon, of Greenville, South Carolina, a brother-in-law, Cassius (Katrina) Dudley of Dublin, and a sister-in-law, Angela (Ola) Ojeikere of Hoschton, Georgia, and a host of grandchildren, nieces, nephews and friends.
