Campbell McCarter SMYRNA -- Campbell Marshall McCarter, 87, of 245 McGill Road died Monday, December 17, 2012, at Piedmont Medical Center in Rock Hill. The funeral will be at 2:00 P.M. on Thursday, December 20, 2012 at New Zion United Methodist Church with the Rev. Monica Tilley officiating. Burial will be at Lakeview Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends on Thursday, December 20, 2012 at New Zion U.M.C. in Smyrna. Campbell was a son of the late Finley and Emily Jackson McCarter. He was a member of New Zion U.M.C., was retired from Rock Hill Printing and Finishing, and was owner of McCarter Wood Products. He was the widower of Beatrice Nichols McCarter. He is survived by son Donnie and his wife Sandra Bailes McCarter of Smyrna, SC, faithful companion Emily Brown, sister-in-laws, Gladys Howe McCarter, Ruby Nichols, and Colene Wilkins. He was preceded in death by brother David Jackson McCarter, and sister Margie McCarter Chambers. Memorials may be made to New Zion U.M.C. Building Fund, 4050 Black Hwy, Smyrna, SC 29743.
