Calvin Jerome Worthen

A grave side Home-Going service for Mr. Calvin Jerome “Colt” Worthen will be held Saturday, December 4, 2021 at 12:00 Noon in the Dudley Memorial Cemetery, the Rev. Willie Edwards, Jr. will officiate and the interment will follow. Mr. Calvin Jerome Worthen was born June 18, 1955 to the late Eva Mae Doughty and the late George Worthen. Calvin graduated from Dublin High School in 1973. He also graduated from the Atlanta Area Technical College where he obtained his Drafting Certificate . He joined the United States Navy in 1977 and served for (4) four years. After his full—time Enlistment, he immediately joined the Navy Reserves and served for over fifteen (15) years. He was an employee for Lockheed –Martin for twenty (20) years as a structural mechanic. Calvin was a friend to all he met and loved children, family and friends very much. He leaves to cherish his memories and mourn his passing, three children, Calvin L. Worthen, N. C., Crystal L. Worthen, Atlanta, Ga., and Chandler J, Worthen, Augusta, Ga. Four brothers, James Horne, Atlanta, Ga., David W. Ashley (Brenda), Texas, Kenneth Ashley (Denise), Fl. and Shuan Doughty, a very special friend for life, Deborah Thomas Worthen and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends .
