Funeral services for Mr. Bruce Lamar Kemp, of Dublin, Georgia will be held on Saturday, March 28, 2020, at 11 AM at the Dudley Memorial Cemetery. on East Mary Street in Dublin. Apostle Kenny Kates, Sr., will officiate.

Mr. Kemp was born on August 19, 1959, to the union of the late Lonnie Vickers and the late Thelma Tucker Kemp. He departed this life on Friday, March 20, 2020.

He joined the Green Grove Baptist Church in Dublin at an early age and remained until his death. He worked for Peacock Chevrolet and Carey Washington Masonry until his health failed. He graduated from Dublin High School in 1977. He joined the United States Army soon after his high school graduation, then served many years and then served in the Army Reserve and the National Guard.

His traits of loyalty, faithfulness, dependability and love endeared him to many, many loving and devoted relatives and friends. He will be missed greatly by all who knew and loved him.

During his lifetime he became a loving father and grandfather; his family meant the world to him.

He was preceded in death by several relatives including a few very special loving and devoted ones, his sister, Betty Kemp Boston, Beatrice Waters, and Emma Bell Gifford.

Mr. Kemp leaves his legacy of love, respect, and devotion to one son, Marquis Hudson of Dublin; two brothers, Carmichael Kemp and Steven Vickers both of Dublin; one sister, Loretta Vickers of Detroit, MI; ten grandchildren; loving and devoted niece, Janifer Jones of Dublin; two loving and devoted cousins, Shatoya Stanley and Patricia “Killer” Richardson both of Dublin; several other devoted family and friends, Timothy Lindsey, Eddie Lindsey, Tyrone Street, Janice Street, Leroy Street, Jeffery Lindsey, and Greg Fuller all of Dublin; and a host of other relatives and friends.
