Brownie Lewis
Funeral services for Mr. Brownie Frank Lewis, of Wrightsville, will be held on Saturday, May 17, 2014, at 1:00 PM at the Saint Galilee Baptist Church, 1053 Idylwild Drive in Wrightsville. Reverend Marques Harden will officiate. Interment will follow in the Community Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery.
Mr. Brownie Lewis, who passed on May 9, 2014, was born on June 15, 1925, to the late Henry and Mary Battle Lewis in White Plains, Georgia. Mr. Lewis was preceded in death by his sisters, Lucille Bridges, Nonie Tillman, Mary F. Taylor, and one brother, Henry Lewis.
He was a faithful member of St. Galilee until his health failed.
Mr. Lewis is survived by four nieces, Betty Hodges, Bobbie D. Bridges, Jessie (Jimmy) Carswell of Wrightsville, Jeanell Kirby of Vidalia; two nephews, Joseph Bridges of Wrightsville, and Tommie Tillman of Vidalia; three cousins, Johnnie Mae Lewis, Brenda Lewis and Bo Lewis of White Plain and a host of other cousins in White Plain; one god brother, W.H. Pinkston of Wrightsville; one god sisters, Robbie Foxworth of Richmond, Virginia; twelve great nieces and twelve great nephews; one very devoted great great niece, Rogeria (Marcus) Foots of Idaho; one god-daughter, Schericka Johnson (Willie Jay) of Wrightsville; and a host of other relatives and friends.
The family will receive friends at the home of his nieces, Betty Hodges, 2819 Idylwild Drive, and Vickie Hodges-Arline, 2833 Idylwild Drive in Wrightsville.
