Funeral services for Mr. Bobby Lee Hightower, of Dublin, will be held on Saturday, January 7, 2017, at 1:00 PM at the Saint Paul AME Church, 308 Rowe Street in Dublin. Presiding Elder Ben Ridley will officiate. Interment will follow in the Dudley Memorial Cemetery.

Mr. Hightower, who passed on December 31, 2016, was born on June 14, 1947, to the late Maude and Claude Hightower in Dublin. Mr. Hightower was preceded in death by four brothers and four sisters.

He was 1966 graduate of Oconee High School. He joined the Job Corp for two years as a welder. He returned to Dublin and worked with the Dublin City Water Department and retired after fifteen years.

Mr. Hightower is survived by his wife of twenty-one years, Eleanor Hightower, Dublin; four sons, Ricky (Charmaine) Hightower, Savannah, Reggie Hightower, Dublin, Dalvin Bailey and Desmond Grant, Dublin; seven grandchildren and one great grandchild; one brother, J.C. Hightower, Dublin; one sister, Celia Mae Hightower, Dublin; four sisters-in-law, Melinda Lester, Cleveland, Ohio, Rosalyn Bailey, Dublin, Eunita Garrett, Greenville, South Carolina, Lila Hightower, Dublin; brothers-in-law, Ronald Bailey, Atlanta, Donald Bailey, Bronson Phillips, Dublin, and a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.

The family is receiving friends at 713 Bell Drive in Dublin.
