Billy Rozier

Funeral services for Deacon Billy Horace Rozier, of East Dublin, Georgia, will be held at 3 PM Sunday, November 11, 2018, at the Williams Chapel Baptist Church, 1142 Hwy 29 South in East Dublin. Rev. Dr. Eddie L. Hixon will deliver the eulogy. Interment will follow in the Dudley Memorial Cemetery.

Deacon Billy Horace Rozier was born on October 1, 1939, to Jim and Evelyn Rozier. He was educated in Laurens County and enlisted in the United States Army before marrying his high school sweetheart, Olive Woods. While in service, he received the National Defense Medal and a Marksman Medal and earned the rank of Sergeant. He worked the majority of his life at Warner Robins Air Force Base as the parts and tools supervisor before retiring in 2003. He passed away on November 1, 2018.

Deacon Rozier was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Olive Rozier, and by his siblings, Milton Rozier “MC”, Celester Rozier, Roosevelt Rozier, Charles J. Rozier “CJ”, Odessa R. Berry, Lady B. Jimerson, Thelma R. Jackson, Jewell R. Reese, Sarah Macklin.

He leaves to cherish his memories three children, Coretta (Willie) Warthen, Nicole Canady and Herbert (Patrina) D. Deese, all of East Dublin, five grandchildren, ShaRyan Rozier, Sa'Monta Taylor, Jarrod Canady, Sha'Quandra Taylor, and Jaden Wells, three great-grandchildren, Kyan Thomas, Harper Taylor, Colton Moss, a devoted godgrandson, Da'Shawn Hodges (DJ), brothers, Norman Rozier, Grand Rapids, Michigan, and Eddie (Ruth) Rozier, East Dublin, sister, Arthurlean (Howard) Ware, Detroit, MIichigan, sisters-in-law, Christine Rozier, East Dublin, Bernice Kitchens, Brooklyn, New York, and brother-in law, Albert Woods, Atlanta. He also leaves a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

The family is receiving friends at 1023 Holly Lane in East Dublin.
