Funeral services for Mr. Billy Kellam, of Dublin, will be held at 1 PM on Saturday, September 3, 2016, at the Valdosta Baptist Church, 1975 Georgia Highway 199 South in East Dublin. Reverend John S. Sutton will officiate. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.

Mr. Billy Kellam was born August 7, 1950, in Dublin to the late Willie B and Mariah Jane Smith Kellam. He was a graduate of the B.D. Perry Elementary and High School. He played football and basketball under Coach Woodrow Billups. After high school attended Morris Brown College. He later began his career of house moving with Milton Smith House Movers. He and his wife, Brenda, were married for thirty-three years. He passed away on August 26 and will be truly missed.

He was preceded in death by a brother, Willie James Kellam, a brother-in-law, Timothy Pope, a father-in-law, George Pope, an uncle, Carlos Smith, and by an aunt, Hattie Mae Lawson.

Mr. Kellam is survived by his wife, Brenda Y. Pope Kellam, son, William Rashaan Kellam (Yvonne Carvalho), daughter, Shapell Pope, sister, Willie Mae Kellam, granddaughter, Charkita Pope, brother, Rev. J.K. (Christine) Smith, Sr.; mother-in-law, Hazel (Bobby) Caldwell, five brothers-in-law, Willie Pope, Sr., Carlos Pope, Sr., Andre (Iris) Caldwell, Kris (Julie) Caldwell, first cousins, Levi (Anna) Lawson, Zennie Laidler, Barbara Smith, Reverend and Mrs. Betty Hope, niece, Pastor Wendy (Lehmon) Smith, Reverend J.K. (Buffy) Smith, Jr., Yolanda Smith, special and devoted friends, Deacon Willie (Lula) Mack, Jason (Carolyn) McCune, George (Ollie) Danielly, Braxton (Veronica) Brown, Ben (Margie) Blue, Sam Daniels, Eric Daniels, Ben Hester, Michael Berry, Jerome Russell, Anthony Jones, Al Jones, and a host nieces, nephews, cousins other relatives and friends.

The family will receive friends at 701 Martin Luther King, Jr., Drive in Dublin.
