Funeral services for Mrs. Betty Moore Wright, of Albany, will be held on Saturday, February 18, 2017, at 11 AM at the Valdosta Baptist Church, 1975 Highway 199 South in East Dublin. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.

Mrs. Wright, who passed on February 13, 2017, was born on April 16, 1950, to the late Exodus Moore, Sr. and Eddie Mae (Solomon) Moore. She was preceded in death by her siblings, Theodis Moore, Thurman Moore, Exodus Moore, Jr. (Albert), Simon Moore and Doretha Moore Denson.

She retired after twenty-six years of service as a chemist at Miller Brewing Company in Albany. She was a former educator with the Tift County School System. She is an alumna of Albany State College and an active member of the Jolly Jacks Social Club, National Colored Women's Association and Silhouette Social Club. She loved to travel with her sister and brother and explore new adventures.

Mrs. Wright is survived by her siblings, Fannie Mae Diggs, Tampa, Florida, Willie G. Moore, New York City, Edsel (Dora) Moore, Butner, North Carolina, two sisters-in-law, Maggie Moore, Tampa, Florida, Francis Moore and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.
