Betty Williams

Funeral services for Mrs. Betty Anderson Williams, of Rentz, will be held on Saturday, November 14, 2015, at 1 PM at the Dublin High School Auditorium, 1127 Hillcrest Parkway in Dublin. Reverend Dr. Willie L. Edmond will officiate. Interment will follow in the Mount Calvary Missionary Baptist Church cemetery.

Mrs. Williams was born on February 7, 1952, to the late Mr. Leroy and Mrs. Atha Lee Anderson, and was a 1969 graduate of Mary Fleming High School. Mrs. Williams was joined in holy matrimony to Mr. Joseph Williams on January 18, 1971, and to this union, four children were born. She was a employee of Flexsteel Industries, Inc, and was a devoted member of Mount Calvary Missionary Baptist Church where she was a deaconess, sang in the adult choir, was a member of the Missionary Ministry and served on the kitchen ministry. Mrs. Williams departed this life, November 8, 2015. She was preceded in death by her sister, Maeroy Smith, and by her brother, Brisco Anderson.

Survivors include her husband of 44 years, her children, LaNessia (Paul) Miller of Bonaire, Tamiko Williams of Rentz, LaToya Williams of Milledgeville, and Joy (Henry) Prince of Bonaire; her three special angels, Jordan Johnson, Mariah Guyton, and Armonni Butler. She also leaves to cherish her memory six brothers, Earl Anderson, Sr., of Miami, Florida, Johnny Anderson, Curtis (Mary) Anderson, Emory (Ethel) Anderson, Marvin (Angela) Anderson, all of Rentz, and Preston (Gloria) Anderson of Dublin, three sisters; Minnie (John) Powe and Lillie Jones, both of Detroit, Michigan, and Shirley Wright of Rentz. She also leaves to cherish her memories eight in-laws: Thelma Thomas, Eva Thomas, and Jack (Lennie) Tharpe, all of Rentz, Margurette (Otis) Dixon, Johnny (Valerie) Tharpe, Ricky (Soynia) Walden, and Bobby Walden, all of Dublin, and Jackie Tharpe of Fayetteville, North Carolina; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, co=workers, and friends that she loved dearly.

The family will receive friends at 3878 US Hwy 441 South, in Rentz. The family will also receive friends on Friday, November 13, 2015, 6-8 PM at the Mount Calvary Missionary Baptist Church, 1601 South Poplar Springs Church Road in Dublin.
