Funeral services for Mrs. Betty Jo Perry, of Dublin, will be held on Saturday, February 24, 2018, at 2 PM at the Green Grove Missionary Baptist Church, 2418 Hwy 441 South in Dublin. Reverend E. Neil Dixon will deliver the eulogy.

Mrs. Perry was baptized at an early age and was a lifelong member of the Green Grove Missionary Baptist Church. She went to school at Oconee and Dublin High Schools and later earned her GED. Prior to a debilitating stroke in 2007, she worked at Applebee's. She was the neighborhood mom who taught all of the kids how to be kids. Her door was always open and her couch was a bed to many.

She was preceded in death by her father, Mr. Edward Perry, Sr., her daughter, Stephanie Hester, and her brother, Ernest Perry.

She leaves to cherish her memories, four children, Treriva Hester of Jacksonville, Florida, Rodrigues Perry of Columbus, South Carolina, Moryaneki (Dennis) Coney of North Carolina, and Africa Perry of Savannah, her mother, Annie Mae Perry of Dublin, siblings, James (Mattie) Perry of Milledgeville, Leroy Perry of Dublin, Feltn (Lillie Mae) Perry of Dublin, Edwena (Warren) Turner of Dublin, Robert Earl (Shirley) Perry of Dublin, Joann (Rev Robert) Fullwoodk, Edward "Eddie" Perry, Jr., of Dublin, and Cynthia "Nita" Smith of Rentz, and sister-in-law, Linda Moore Perry of Dublin, uncles, Tommie Lee Smith of Williams Township, New Jersey, Jim Smith and Leotis Smith of Soperton, seven nieces, ten nephews, and a host of other relatives and friends.

The family is receiving friends at 700 Plummer Street in Dubln.
