Obituary Notice Betty M. Hines CLOVER Betty Ruth McElroy Hines, 83, of 207 Hilltop Lane died Wednesday, September 5, 2012, at her home in Clover. The funeral will be at 11:00 A.M. on Friday, September 7, 2012 at Clover A.R.P. Church with the Rev. Evan English officiating. Burial will be at Bethany A.R.P. Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Friday, September 7, 2012 from 10 - 11 AM at Clover A.R.P. Church fellowship hall. A native of Clover, Betty was a daughter of the late Emmett Newman "Mutt" and Mary Engle McElroy. She was the widow of Bobbie G. Hines. Betty was a lifelong member of the Clover A.R.P. Church, where she served for 24 years as recording secretary for Women of Church and treasurer for the Sallie Enloe Circle. She also was a longtime member of the church choir, and throughout the years received many perfect attendance pens. Betty was retired as the secretary at Propery and Casualty Insurance. She is survived by daughter, Gale Hines Copeland (Billy) of Harrisburg, NC, son Scott Hines (Ann) of Clover, SC, sister Mary Frances McElroy Nivens of York, SC, grandchildren, Liam Copeland of Atlanta, GA, Andy Hines (Lacey) of Woodbine, GA, and Casey Hines of Clover, SC, great grandchildren, Maggie and Parker Hines of Woodbine, GA, numerous cousins, nieces, and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband Bobbie, her father E.N. McElroy, and her mother Mary McElroy. She was preceded in death by son Bobby Dennis Hines, sister Ruby Nell McElroy Quinn, brothers, Bobby Joe McElroy, and William Newman McElroy.
