Funeral services for Ms. Bernice Godfrey, of Dublin, will be held on Monday, February 1, 2016, at 1 PM at God’s Divine Vision Ministries, Inc., 600 Telfair Street, in Dublin. Reverend Ricky Stanley will deliver the eulogy. Interment will follow in the Dudley Memorial Cemetery.

Ms. Godfrey was born on October 18, 1943, in Laurens County, Georgia, to the late Clifton and Irene Godfrey. She passed away on Thursday, January 28, 2016.

She was preceded in death by her parents, a brother, William Henry “Bobby” Godfrey, and a brother-in-law, William Wilmore, Jr.

Ms. Godfrey leaves to cherish her memories five brothers, Willie Lee Godfrey of Vidalia, Clifton Godfrey, Jr., of Dudley, Nathaniel (Debra) Godfrey, Leonard (Valerie) Godfrey and Tony (Vieta) Godfrey, all of Dublin, four sisters, Lola Bell Wilmore of Warner Robins, Wilbertean Godfrey and Eva Godfrey of Dudley, and Denise Hughes of Augusta, three aunts, Catherine Wiggins, Ireatha Wiggins, and Mattie White of Dudley, devoted caretakers, Tamekia Butler and Tracy Jackson, all of Dublin, and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

The family is receiving friends at 1801 Lord Road, Dudley.
