Barbara Buerkle

Barbara Ann (Kelleher) Buerkle, 68 of Landers, CA (formerly of Aurora, IL) passed away on July, 30, 2013. She was born October 16, 1944 in Aurora.
Barbara work as a NA, worked herself up to CNA and then worked as a clerk at Del Rio Nursing Home in Bell Gardens for 13 years. She moved to Landers in 1988 and volunteered at the Moose Lodge. She was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary at the Moose Lodge in Landers, Chapter 1373, since 1989. Barbara loved to do crafts.
Survivors include three children, Mrs. Alan (Angela R.) Geddes of Central Square, NY, Kevin R. Shamblin of Landers, CA and Rachel R. Shamblin of Painsville, OH; seven grandchildren, Patricia Geldof of Central Square, NY, Walter Bartram of St. Joe, MO, Michael Hatfield Jr. of Central Square, NY, JD Henderson of Hamilton, OH, Michael L. Henderson of Hamilton, OH, Joann Davidson of Lancaster, CA and George Maupin, of KY; thirteen great-grandchildren; five brothers, Richard of Okinawa, Japan, Kenneth of Montgomery, IL, Darwin “Carl” of Tarzana, CA, Walter of Aurora, IL and Ralph “Rick” (Chris) of Reseda, CA; two sisters, Mrs. Fred (Betty) Cairo of St Charles, IL and Mrs. Jess (Joyce) Brown of Littleton, CO. She had many nieces & nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband William (Gismo) Buerkle, a grandson Clarence W. Bartram Jr, her parents Joseph C. and Helen M. (Hoffman) Kelleher and brothers, Harold “Butch”, Dale, Robert, James and David.
Barbara will be deeply missed by her family and all who loved her. There will be no services at this time.
