B F “Biff” Reynolds, age 83, was born on August 13, 1929 in Henderson, Texas to Irma Montgomery and Benjamin Franklin Reynolds. He passed away on May 26, 2013 in Loma Linda, California at the Veteran’s Hospital. Biff enlisted in the Merchant Marines in August 1946 thru August 1948 supporting troops in WW2. He re-enlisted in April 1950 where by September he was landing on Inchon beach on the 15th and liberating Seoul within weeks. On to Wonson-ri in the north-east by October, back across to the “Chosin Resevoir” in the dead of December at 30 below zero. He was honored with the Korean Service Award, WW2 Service Award, and the Chosin Campaign Award. He was a past member of the V.F.W. Honor Guard. Some Marines called him a hero after they met and talked with him about his military service as one of “THE CHOSEN FEW”.
He had careers including: Reynolds Aluminum-Electrician, Liggett-Myers Tobacco-route sales, Curtiss Candy- route sales, Bell Telephone Company-wire lineman, and lastly Lewis Boggus Ford- top salesman where he won a Ford "500" Oscar presented by Danny Thomas. Mr. Reynolds was preceeded in death by his lovely wife, Frances, to whom he was married for 47 years. He is survived by his children: Brenda Kay Hardesty, Bill Reynolds, and David Reynolds.
A graveside service will take place at the Riverside National Cemetery on Friday, June 7, 2013 at 12:45 p.m.
