Funeral Service for 98 year old, Mrs. Artelma Baty Widermyre of Annona, Texas who went to be with her Lord October 9, 2015 at Clarksville Nursing Center, Clarksville, TX will be Thursday, October 15, 2:19 p.m. at Rock of Ages Baptist Church, Annona, Texas , Rev. T.L. Blevins pastor and Rev. P.A. Porchia officiating. Interment: Annona Cemetery, Annona, Texas.

Mrs. Artelma Baty Widermyre was born in Oklahoma on February 19, 1917 to Rosie and Jeff Baty. She attended school in the Reeds settlement. Later her parents moved to Annona, Texas where she later united with the Rock of Ages Baptist Church at an early age.
She married M.C. Widermyre in 1946 and moved to Chicago, IL and became an active member of Mount Calvary Baptist Church.
After her husband retired as Chef of the Santa Fe Railroad, she came home to be near her family. She and her husband moved their membership to Rock of Ages Baptist Church where she was a faithful member until she became caregiver for her older sister, Alma Dawson. After her sister death in 2004, she returned to Annona to live until her health failed.
She was preceded in death by two brothers: Willie McCoy Baty Sr., and J.B. Baty; one step brother: L.B. Baty; three sisters: Velma Baty, Alma Baty, and Othrie Jackson; one niece: Flossie Coulter.
