Armanda Williams
A celebration of life for Mrs. Armanda Ray Williams, 53, formerly of Dublin, Georgia, will be held at 12 PM on Saturday, December 21, 2019 at the Williams Chapel Baptist Church, 1142 Georgia Hwy 29 South in East Dublin. Reverend Dr. Eddie L. Hixon will deliver the eulogy.
Armanda was born on September 7, 1966, in Dublin, Georgia. She gave her life to Christ at an early age and attended Buckeye Baptist Church where she sang in the church choir.
Armanda attended East Laurens High School where she discovered a love for singing and participated in various talent shows. Following her graduation in 1984, Armanda moved to Atlanta, Georgia, in 1987, where she continued sharpening her God-given talent for singing. She joined local bands and performed at various events around the city and state of Georgia. In 1997, she along with devoted band members formed Atomic Cafe Band where they performed at the Atlanta Jazz Festival which was one of the many highlights of her musical career. In addition to music, Armanda enjoyed a long and fulfilling career in law. She worked for various law firms prior to joining the Law Firm of Powell Goldstein, LLP, and its successor firm, Bryan Cave Leighton Paisner LLP, where she served as an executive assistant for 26 years. Our beloved daughter, mom, sister and friend departed this life at age of 53 on December 15, 2019. Armanda's beautiful genuine smile and quick wit will be missed.
Armanda, affectionately known as "ARay" leaves to cherish her precious memories to her parents, Lannie Love Mae Huff and Thomas (Hortense McGirt) Ray, daughter,Ziana Devyne Ray Ervin, stepmother, Zeldina Ray, brothers, Leon Norris and Thomas Christopher "TC" Ray, devoted sisters, Bernice Kelley and Glendale (Garrett) Davis, and besties, Rosalind Schofield and Retha Ashe, a devoted uncle, Lewis Huff, and aunt, Katrina Arnold, a dear friend, Ivan Hawk, god-daughter, Jewel Jonae Thompson, and god-son, Janeiro Manning, and a host of other relatives, aunts, uncles, friends and spouse, Damon Williams.
In lieu of flowers, please make donations to the American Cancer Society in memory of Armanda Ray Williams.
