Funeral services for Mrs. Annie Pearl Roberts, of Wrightsville, Georgia, will be held at 11 AM on Saturday, May 26, 2018, at the Mount Pleasant AME Church, 368 Bill Oliver Road, Wrightsville. Reverend Jenkins will deliver the eulogy. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.

Born as Annie Pearl Stephens, to the late Matthew and Mary Stephens on October 26, 1928 in Wrightsville, Mrs. Roberts was a loving, kind and caring person. She made it her top priority to be there for her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. We will all remember her for her favorite saying,” You Got That Right”. Mrs. Roberts will be truly missed and she will forever live in our hearts.

She was a faithful devoted member of the Mount Pleasant AME Church. In 2014, after the death of her husband of 65 years, Mr. Horace Roberts, she moved to Florida to be near her children. Mrs. Roberts passed away on May 19, 2018.

Mrs. Roberts was preceded in death by her four brothers, Robert, Herschel, Herbert and Frank Stephens, her son-in-law, Charles Dupont, her sister-in-law, Ollie Ree Roberts, Ollie Mae Brooks, brothers-in-law, L. C. Smith, Albert Roberts, James Roberts, grandchild, Yvette Dupont, and by a great-grandchild, Shakira.

Mrs. Roberts leaves to cherish fond memories to her daughters, Lillie Roberts of Miami, Florida; Lillie Dupont of Miami, Florida, sisters-in-law, Lee Taylor of Baltimore, Maryland, Teen (Ray) of Baltimore, Maryland; Retha Smith of Miami, Florida, Viola (Vernal) Woody of Miami, Florida; brother-in-law; Walter “W.L” (Margaret) Roberts of Wrightsville, grandchildren, LaTanya “Tangie” Dupont (Rev.Larry Mozell), of Miami, Florida, Oliver “Scooter” (Courtney) Cain of Maryland; great-grandchildren, Shaquandra, Jarvis, Brandaise, Larieka, Veronica, Ny’lyjah, Kelisa, and Christian, thirteen great great-grandchildren, special niece, Eola Taylor of Wrightsville, and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins.
