Services for Annie Mae Edwards, 84, of Dublin, will be held at 1:00 p.m. Monday, February 13, 2012, at Eason Hill Baptist Church, 2022 Eason Hill Church Road, Montrose. Burial will follow in the Church Cemetery. Reverend T J. Edwards will officiate.] On Tuesday evening, February 7, 2012, calmness, quietness, and softness enriched the air descended with peace and serenity and bore the bright spirit of our beloved mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, Mrs. Annie Mae Edwards, to a place of joy, peace, and eternal rest in the presence of the Lord. Mrs. Edwards was a faithful member of the Eason Hill Baptist Church where she served faithfully as Church Mother and former secretary for several years. She was a dedicated member. Mrs. Edwards was born on December 18, 1927 to the parentage of the late Bennie and Georgia A. Engram of Bleckley County. She was preceded in death by her husband Robert Edwards two daughters, Mary Edwards, and Joann Edwards two sisters, Georgia W. Gordon and Hattie Lou Powell, and one brother, Willie Freeney. Mrs. Edwards is survived by three sons, Wendell Edwards (Lynn), Jimmy Edwards (Sarah), and Rev. Roger Edwards (JoAnne), and two daughters, Bobbie Beard and Elaine Bell (Rev. Grady) all of Dublin three sisters, Matlene Pitts (R. C.), Gladys Wilmore (Ned) and Mable Rouse (Sonny) all of Cochran, GA three brothers-in-law, Rev. T. J. Edwards (Irene) of Miami, FL, Aaron Coley, Sr. of Danville, GA, and Grover Mack of Elmira, New York three sisters-in-law, Georgia White (Marion), Mattie Pearl Williams of Miami, FL, and Rosa Coley of Elmira, New York 12 grandchildren, Tiffany Levine, Wendell Shawn Edwards, Shequita Blash, Jimmy Edwards, Jr., Kelvin Edwards, Patrick Edwards, Tommy Beard, Christopher Beard, Jeremy Edwards, Jana Edwards, Jeremiah Edwards, and Quinton Bell 17 great-grandchildren, a host of nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends. Pallbearers will be grandsons, Wendell Shawn Edwards, Jimmy Edwards, Jr., Kelvin Edwards, Patrick Edwards, Tommy Beard, Christopher Beard, Jeremy Edwards, Jeremiah Edwards, and Quinton Bell.
