Funeral Services for Mrs. Annie Lou Taylor, 89, will be held on Saturday, February 29, 2020, at 12 PM at the Rangers Grove Church of God in Christ, 122 Ranger Grove Church Road in Wrightsville. Superintendent Ira Edwards will officiate. Burial will follow in the Mount Pleasant A.M.E. Church Cemetery, 368 Bill Oliver Road in Wrightsville.

Mrs. Taylor was born February 15, 1931. Mrs. Taylor was a native of Johnson County. She attended Tucker School in her early years. Her specialty was being an awesome wife and homemaker. To her family, she was known for her world famous biscuits.

She attended Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church for a season and later after giving her life to Christ she joined Ranger Grove Church of God in Christ where she served as a faithful mother of the church and was affectionately known as “MOTHER HAPPY TAYLOR.” She departed this life on Friday, February 21, 2020.

Mrs. Taylor was preceded in death by her mother, Ms. Sally Lou Johnson; beloved husband, W.H. Taylor; brother, Joe Brown; sister, Gladys Stephens; and daughter, Rosa Mae Taylor.

Survivors include five sons, W.L.(Betty Jean) Taylor, Henry (Eola) Taylor of Wrightsville, Rev. Joe (Willie Mae) Taylor, of Dublin, Elder Jimmy (Patricia) Taylor, Otis (Mary)Taylor of Tennille; three daughters, Elder Sally Roberson, Annie Ola Taylor, Kathy (Terry) Taylor of Wrightsville; one sister, Gladine Johnson of Montrose; twenty-one grandchildren, twenty-five great grands, six great-great grands; devoted friends, Mother Inez Edwards, Mrs. Rosia Mae Martin, and Mother Eloise Cannon, and a host of other relatives and friends.

The family will receive friends at 120 Wesley Drive, Wrightsville.
