Anne Ramere YORK Anne Catallo Ramere, 90, of 7 Hillcrest Dr died Monday, October 15, 2012, at her home in York. The funeral mass will be at 2:00 P.M. on Wednesday, October 17, 2012 at Divine Saviour Roman Catholic Church in York. Burial will be at Lakeview Memorial Gardens. A rosary service will be held on Tuesday, October 16, 2012 at 5:00 PM at Bratton Funeral Home in York with visitation following from 6 to 8 PM. Anne was born January 1, 1922 in Cuddy, PA. She was a daughter of the late Urbano and Punzianno Ricciardi Catallo. She was a member of Divine Saviour Catholic Church, where she served in many roles. She was a Sunday School teacher, an officer in the Women’s Club of Divine Saviour , a member of the church choir, and Eucharistic Minister. In 1975 Anne was recognized as Catholic Woman of the Year for upstate South Carolina. Mrs. Ramere also established 52 years ago the annual Divine Saviour Church Spaghetti Dinner fund raiser, where in 2010 she was recognized by the York City Council thru proclamation for this on going event. Mayor Eddie Lee presented Anne with the "key to the city." From 1969 - 1971, Anne assisted with the first Senior Citizen Organization establishment in York. She worked at the Episcopal Church Home/York Place from 1971, until her retirement in 1984, in a secretarial support position. Anne is survived by daughter Maria Ramere Duncan and husband David of York, SC, son Carmen James Ramere of York, SC, two grandsons, James David Duncan, John Paul Duncan, and brother Father Sylvester Catallo, OFCAP. Mrs. Ramere was the widow of Jerome James Ramere.
