Funeral services for Mrs. Alma J. Taylor of Dublin will be held on Saturday, September 28 at 2:00 pm at the Christ Deliverance Temple, 403 East Garner Street in Dublin. Interment will follow in the Dudley Memorial Cemetery. Reverend Vernon Lloyd will officiate.
Mrs. Taylor, who passed on September 25, was born on August 22, 1932, in Dodge County to the late Ms. Ida Mae Blackshear and Mr. Charlie Taylor. She was raised by Mrs. Annie Mae Clark and Mr. Herman Simmons. She was a loving caregiver for many years. She joined the First African Baptist Church of Dublin under the leadership of Reverend Vernon D. Lloyd.
Mrs. Alma J. Taylor leaves to cherish her memories four loving children, Leonard (Dorothy) McNair, Jr., Barbara J. Martin (late Gregory Martin), Johnny F. (Shirley) Taylor, Cheryl Y. Shivers; godchildren, Dexter McNair and Linda Faye McNair; grandchildren, Glenda McNair, Kimberly Nixon, Christopher Bernard McNair, Crystal N. Martin (Justin) Jackson, Kela Edwards, Kamika Harris, Twanda Shivers; great grandchildren, Sharonda McNair, Elisa McNair, Erin McNair, RaeKeycia Harris, Amya Edwards, Renee Kimbro, Raegan Kimbro, Kelly Nixon, Tiffany Nixon; great-great grandchildren, Navaeh McNair, Kayla McNair, Kyon McNair and a host of other relatives and friends.
The family will receive friends at 104 West Avenue in Dublin and at the Dudley Funeral Home on Friday from 7-8 PM.
