Funeral service for Ms. Alma Lee Beachem 89 of Clarksville who went to be with her Lord, July 22, 2020 at Paris Regional Medical Center will be Saturday, July 25, 2020 at St. James Baptist Church, 309 E. Star Street, Clarksville, Texas @ 1:00 p.m. with Pastor Harold Massey officiating. Interment will be in Hebron Cemetery, Clarksville, Texas under the direction of Citizens Funeral Home, 500 E. Church Street, Clarksville, TX. Condolences may be made at www.citizensfuneralhome.com.

Viewing will be Friday, July 24, 2020 from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Citizens Funeral Home chapel, 500 E. Church Street, Clarksville, TX.

Ms. Alma Lee Beachem was born August 5, 1930, to Malvin and Essie Bell Johnson. She accepted Christ at an early age and united with St. James Baptist Church where she faithfully attended. Alma lost her hearing at the age of 13. She later attended Texas Blind, Deaf, and Orphan School in Austin, Texas where she obtained a license in Cosmetology. She truly enjoyed styling hair and making young girls that could not afford to go to the beautician, feel good about themselves by donating free hairdos. She also was a great cook.
Alma married Floyd Wicker whom she met at school and moved to Houston, Texas. They were thrilled to be the parents of a beautiful baby girl they named Jacquelyn (Jackie). Floyd preceded her in death. She married Rev. J.R. Savage and Cleo Beachem whom also preceded her in death.
Alma will be joining her siblings: Willie, Juanita, Patsy, Thelma and Dorothy.

She leaves to cherish her memories:
Daughter: Jacquelyn (Ronnie) Doolittle of Clarksville
Granddaughter: Christie (Gary) Pillar of Houston
Grandson: Stevie (Paula) Williams of Dallas
Great Grandchildren: Chance, Michael, Kevin,
Stevie Jr., Amari, and LaShybriel
Special daughters: Jewel Pouges Montgomery and Alma Johnson Clayton
A host of nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.
